At the center of 7 Mindsets’ mission and work is empowering students, educators, and communities to lead their best lives.

BASE Education

BASE Education, an interactive, online student-facing mental health solution, was founded to ensure educators have the tools to learn, respond, and connect to students in crisis and others facing the challenges of today’s world. The CASEL-recognized mental health solution has been used by more than 1,000,000 students nationwide, helping to create deeper connections between students and educators.

Friendzy

Friendzy teaches the five-core competencies of social-emotional learning (SEL) to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Teaching friendship skills helps students manage their emotions, improve their ability to set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Rosen Classroom

Rosen Classroom’s Focus on Social and Emotional Learning (FOSEL) 30-week SEL curriculum for grades K-6 provides a standards-based program to teaching social and emotional learning through a literacy-based approach. It employs the activities of thinking, reading, speaking, and writing in each lesson, which allows students to master and apply the content through multiple access points. CASEL’s five (5) competencies provide the framework for each grade level’s books and lesson plans.

Friendship Connections Project
A randomized field trial of Friendship Connections, an intensive, individualized social skills training program designed to address the challenges faced by elementary-aged children who are rejected by their peers. Investigators use Networker to identify children who need help and SELweb EE to measure program outcomes.

Positive, Engaged, Achieving Kids (PEAK)
A randomized field trial of the Social Skills Improvement System Classwide Intervention Program, a general education curriculum designed to teach social and emotional skills. Investigators are using SELweb EE to measure program outcomes.

Partnership for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative
A large-scale quasi-experimental field trial of an initiative designed to coordinate and improve SEL practices across school and out-of-school settings. Investigators are using SELweb EE and SELweb LE to measure program outcomes.

A randomized field trial of RULER, a school-wide social and emotional learning program. Investigators are using SELweb EE to measure program outcomes.

WestEd

A game-based online social-skills training program that is designed to improve social and academic outcomes for elementary school students. The Adventures program offers instructional episodes that are set within an appealing story narrative: the player is a new recruit on a sailing ship who joins the crew and travels around an island, interacting with a host of characters and engaging in social problem solving to address plot conflicts and save friendships on the island.
