Client Program Manager for Strategic Accounts

We are seeking a Client Program Manager to join the xSEL Labs team. The Client Program Manager for Strategic Accounts will drive client adoption, ensure the attainment of outcomes, identify expansion opportunities, and identify and resolve issues, working both externally (managing a select group of key clients) and internally (working cross-functionally across the organization) to ensure customer goals are met effectively and efficiently.

What you’ll do…

Project Management Delivery

  • Accountable for client onboarding and driving execution to deliver large-scale district implementations 
  • Consistently demonstrate a clear understanding of the project/program’s vision, objectives, scale and scope of work, expected outcomes, business value and impact, timelines, roadmaps, and resource-level requirements.
  • Establish strong partnerships and engagement with project stakeholders
  • Own full-scale master project schedules and communication plans consisting of multiple teams or components
  • Support governance practices and protocols to control and monitor the program/projects
  • Ensure proactive scheduling of key deliverables, milestones, and deliverable tasks
  • Establish project financial forecasts
  • Provide day-to-day client support to deliver specified requirements, objectives, and value
  • Be available five days per week to support clients during the prime period of performance, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific.
  • Collect client requirements for and work with the project team to provide customized reports
  • Provide virtual office hours to assist teachers and/or administrators with program implementation

Vendor Team Management

  • Support and align with subcontractors to ensure deliverables are completed promptly
  • Evaluate and harmonize vendor’s timelines/schedules and cross-project dependencies to ensure alignment with overall project/program objectives
  • Escalate to remediate risks/blockers impeding vendor’s forward progression, as necessary

Financial Management

  • Responsible for finance/budget responsibilities for assigned projects
  • Analyze, measure, and recognize the financial impact of various project actions
  • Participate in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues, maintain budget tracking, and monitor budget expenditures

Status Reporting

  • Prepare program/project status reports to demonstrate overall project health, key performance indicators (KPIs), risks, issues, accomplishments, next steps, and escalation requests.
  • Identify and facilitate the resolution of issues and risks on projects to meet commitments

Communication

  • Operate as an independent and dynamic project leader, demonstrating influence without direct authority
  • Lead with a win/win attitude with competing priorities and adapt to diverse personalities
  • Facilitate project team meetings effectively, ensure the desired outcomes are achieved, document and distribute meeting minutes
  • Distribute timely and effective project meeting updates and call-to-action updates across project teams
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to facilitate project-related conversations with technology senior leaders/managers/directors and service owners alike and drive tasks and project dependencies to completion across multiple supporting teams
  • Escalate the need for guidance and support to direct managers effectively

Professional Development Delivery

  • Provide and/or participate in high-quality on-site and remote professional learning for the assigned client base
  • Facilitate engaging, personalized, professional learning on best practices for product usage, utilizing adult learning strategies 
  • Guide educators in using data to target SEL instruction 
  • Maintain and deliver online professional development videos and webinars for teacher/administrator access
  • Maintain online resources for families and students that describe the assessments, platform, and how the assessment informs teaching and learning
  • Work with client districts to customize professional development sessions to ensure they address the needs of teachers, administrators, students, and families, as well as ensure effective implementation of the assessments
  • Facilitate district-level data review meetings 

What you’ll bring to xSEL Labs…

  • At least three years of experience managing elementary and secondary assessments of social-emotional learning
  • At least three years of experience with social-emotional learning (SEL)
  • Documented experience with managing the delivery of web-based enterprise systems in large school districts in the US
  • Documented exposure to integrated systems, product and software development lifecycle processes, procedures, and tools
  • Experience in implementing new strategies and tools and/or techniques consolidation
  • 2+ years of applicable project management experience in a technology environment, preferably in education serving sizeable K-12 school districts
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field
  • Classroom and/or administrative experience in a large urban K-12 environment
  • Superb consultative, facilitative, and analytical skills 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, customer service, and relationship building at all levels within a school system 
  • Exposure to a wide range of productivity tools, including collaboration software (e.g., Slack, Salesforce, Asana) and standard MS Office and Google tools
  • High comfort level and proficiency in Excel to create appealing and functional reports
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization
  • Exhibits an organized, efficient, on-time, cost-conscious perspective that seeks to improve continuously
  • Maintains a team focus with a coachable and approachable work style


  • Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
